i kena before something like that.. but it was more hilarious..

at that time, we had work pagers.. i just bought a CDMA phone (yes.. it was that long ago).. and i was a system administrator for the place...

it was a Saturday night, 11:45pm and i was drinking heavily with a bunch of my friends at a pub...

i got a page from office.. i pull out my phone and called.. the woman on the other side said "can you help me? my password for the system got revoked"

i said "it's saturday night, i'm at a pub and i'm drunk.. whatever you want, i'll fix it on monday morning" and i hung up...

my friends were laughing their heads off...

the woman was holding a higher rank than me...

yes.. i am like that

But seriously! These people should be... err... err.. -thinks of suitable punishment- but I geuss they are already punished enough to be chained to their work at ungodly hours!

Once, I got a call at 2 am. Unknown number.

The woman at the other end of the line asked 'Who is this? Who is this?'

I just ended the call and went back to sleep.

In hindsight, I should have said 'You called me, so why don't you tell me who you are?'

On a related note, I hate it when people call me and keep saying 'Hello? Hello?' repeatedly without trying to introduce themselves.

sort of like we played a prank on someone long ago.. she had a huge network colour printer in her room.. us guys somehow mapped it and printed a ghostly picture through the printer...

she was freaked out for a month.. coz it was.. like now, the ghostly month

after u dial the number and u hear the "beep beep" pager tone, instead of pressing * twice, press * once and 12345678 then press *...

it will reflect as the number 12345678 tried to page...

back long time ago, I would page my frenz with my number followed by 999 in times of emergency and we had other short form codes as well...

remind me long long time ago... I had this indian colleague... He had to go back to some part of india becoz his mother wans him to match-make with this indian girl due to some status, rank thingy...

the only prank I did was to make a photo montage of my boss's face and secretly saved it in my colleague's computer as screen saver... U know the one that allows you to make an image fly around the screen? So it's just his head flying around the screen saying 'GET BACK TO WORK!"
